We take on a select few projects every month, so there may be a waitlist.

Payment in full is due at time of booking.

We have never and will never use generative AI in any capacity. As such, we do not work with authors who use generative AI in any capacity. You will be asked to confirm in writing at time of booking that AI played no part in the creation of your manuscript.

We will never share your work with third parties. We will never use any portion of your work on our social media accounts without your explicit consent.

We do not currently provide copyediting services. Our focus is big picture solutions for early drafts, not grammar and mechanics.

There is a $50 minimum. We will not read isolated sections of a larger work unless it is the first pages. So we can read the first fifty pages of a manuscript, but not the last, or a chapter that occurs somewhere in the middle.

We happily read content that is cozy closed door, spicy open door, and everything in between. That being said, we are not comfortable reading romance written by straight men. We are also NOT a good fit for:

  • military and police romance

  • any storylines that paint ICE/immigration enforcement in a positive light

  • racist or bigoted material

  • “Conservative” and/or Christian romance

  • on-page sexual assault

  • fatphobic content

Formatting requirements

In order to qualify for our $1 per page pricing, your manuscript must be submitted in a Microsoft Word document with the following:

  • Times New Roman, 12pt font

  • Single spaced, with standard margins

  • Page breaks for every chapter

  • Reasonable line breaks within a paragraph

    We understand we are reviewing early drafts. But please don’t submit large text blocks, with no breaks for dialogue, etc.
